Listen with webreader

My name is Roy Lindemann. I am one of the co-founders of ReadSpeaker and we are known for our applications which give voice to thousands of web sites, blogs, mobile apps worldwide. I live in Paris, France, am married, and have 3 children.

Apart from my family and my work, my other passion is football (the one played with the round ball aka soccer). I started reading the famous French newspaper L’Equipe when I was 6, have been to at least 300 games including 10 World Cup ones, 4 Champion League finals,  and have seen more matches on TV than I can recall.

I managed to touch Maradona’s shoulder at a Paris Saint-Germain-Boca game, see the 1974 European Club Champion Bayern Munich team train on the parking lot (!) of the then Heysel called stadium in Bruxelles just hours before their match against Atlético de Madrid, cry when Saint-Etienne lost their European Club Championship quarter-final against Liverpool in 1977, run into Horst Hrubesch in a hotel elevator in Montevideo during the 1980 Mundialito, and get a call during a meeting from my wife who had just got Zidane to sign an autograph in a Paris café :-) .

As you can see, football is my lifelong passion. This blog aims to convey this enthusiasm to anyone who happens to drop by on my blog.
